Livestock - certification of organic livestock production

Cattle, buffalo, sheep and goats, pigs, poultry - we certify organic livestock production, including mixed farms with crop production. Organic livestock production puts animal welfare at its centre.

Conversion period

For cattle for meat - 12 months and at least 3/4 of their lifetime; for sheep, goats and pigs and for dairy animals - 6 months; for poultry for meat - 10 weeks; for laying hens - 6 weeks.

What we certify

Meat, milk, eggs and other products from organically reared animals, as well as the forage areas and pastures.

Feed

Organic, with at least 70% of the feed for herbivores coming from the holding itself or from the same region. Herbivores have access to grazing whenever conditions allow.

Veterinary treatments

Sick animals are treated immediately. Preventive use of synthetic medicines and antibiotics is prohibited, and the withdrawal period is doubled.

What is inspected

Buildings and pastures, feed store, ear tags against the register, origin of the animals, veterinary logbook.

Price

Annual fee and a price per livestock unit depending on the species and purpose. All prices are in our price list.

Private standards

KRAV verification (Sweden). For export to the USA under NOP the following condition applies: products from animals treated with antibiotics cannot be sold as organic.

Subsidies

Certification is a condition for the eco-scheme for organic livestock production.
