Import and export - organic products across the EU borders
We control operators who import organic products from third countries or export to markets outside the EU, including the USA.
Import from third countries
Every consignment must have a certificate of inspection (COI) issued in the TRACES system by the exporter's control body.
Recognition
The product must be certified by a control body recognised by the EU for the country and category concerned, or come from a country recognised as equivalent.
What we check
The certificates of foreign suppliers, the consignment documents, the regime for the country of origin, the receipt of the goods and traceability.
Export
We issue documents and certificates for the operators certified by us, including NOP export certificates for the USA for each consignment.
Changes
The regime for recognising third countries is changing. Before every transaction, confirm the current situation with us.
Price
Annual fee and an hourly rate for control; separate rates for export certificates. All prices are in our price list.
Private standards
NOP (USA), Bio Suisse (Switzerland) and KRAV (Sweden) for exporters.
